 A little about me

Food has been my thing for as long as I can remember. I left Brooklyn over twenty years ago to learn more about where it came from. Once here in the Hudson Valley, there was no going back! I started keeping bees, growing vegetables, and flowers. I own and operate Phoenicia Honey Co. We sell infused honey, skincare made with beeswax, and fresh-cut flowers. Back in the City, I attended The French Culinary Institute, I then worked for Chef Edna Lewis at Gage and Tollner, Brendan Walsh from Arizona 206, and Steven Levine from the legendary Guilted Giraffe. I eventually opened my own place called New City Cafe, rated by Zagat as one of the top 50 cafes in the city. Once settled in this area I was the executive Chef at Menla Mountain retreat, worked in catering, and did private chef work. Currently, my focus is on private dinners, events, and weekly meal delivery.
